Jesse Liu is the Founder and Principal of Greenblock Investments, where he oversees the firm’s investment strategy, acquisitions, asset growth, and capital partner relationships. He founded Greenblock with a vision of transforming underutilized and underinvested properties into thriving community assets that generate long-term value for investors, tenants, and the neighborhoods they serve. Through a disciplined approach to acquisitions and active asset management, Jesse leads Greenblock’s mission of revitalizing properties across the Western United States.

Prior to founding Greenblock Investments, Jesse served as a Partner and Director of Acquisitions at Optimus Properties, where he was responsible for investment strategy, sourcing new acquisition opportunities, and expanding capital partner relationships. Before joining Optimus, he was a Senior Vice President at Watt Investment Partners, overseeing the sourcing and management of equity investments. He also served as Vice President of Acquisitions at Laurus Corporation, where he focused on retail and multifamily properties.

Earlier in his career, Jesse worked as an Originator and Underwriter at Calmwater Capital, where he closed more than $300 million in senior and mezzanine bridge loans secured by commercial real estate assets. He began his real estate career with Levy Affiliated Holdings, focusing on value-add retail acquisitions and investment opportunities throughout the West Coast.

With nearly two decades of experience in acquisitions, capital markets, and asset repositioning, Jesse has been involved in more than $1 billion in real estate transactions and millions of square feet of commercial and residential investments. His leadership and investment philosophy continue to guide Greenblock’s commitment to creating stronger assets, stronger communities, and lasting investment value.

In addition to leading Greenblock Investments, Jesse continues to serve as an advisor to Optimus Properties, where he provides strategic guidance on acquisitions, investment strategy, and portfolio growth.

Jesse earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of California, Irvine.

Jesse resides in Los Angeles with his wife and two children.
